Hey, hey, hey! It’s another week and yet another blog post. Every week I have to come up with a new topic to blog about. For those of you who don’t come here regularly, my blogs range from personal experiences and portrait sessions to photography tips and information. I try to be entertaining and informative. Hopefully, I actually am.
As you probably already know, I am a portrait photographer who specializes in portraits of children. I love photographing children because they are so genuine in their actions and expressions which provide me a lot of material to work with. Being that I also consider myself a photographic artist, I like to make sure the images that I create will be displayed. Hence, I sell wall art with the express purpose of being displayed. This is very important to me. Not only because I consider myself an artist, but because some years ago I read where the self-esteem of children is raised when they see images of themselves displayed. Who wouldn’t want to raise their children’s self-esteem?
With all of that said, I have two somewhat new products and one totally new product to introduce. To be honest, the product concept itself isn’t new but how it is presented is. For those who don’t necessarily want a large piece of wall art, they can order matted 8×10 or 8×12 portraits. The options are 6, 12, or 20 images. With each succession, there will be an upgrade to the presentation. See below.
For the 6 matted prints, which I call the Supreme 6, your presentation will look like this:
It’s a beautiful organic, 100% recycled, handcrafted cotton box. When I first ordered one I thought it was really nice until I received it in person. I was blown away by its simple sophistication.
For the 12 images box, also known as the Top 12, it has a different presentation. It is an envelope style, portfolio box adorned with selected cotton or silk fabrics. This is the new interpretation of the matted prints I was offering previously which would have come in a box similar to the one above. But, when you pay more, I believe you should get more.
Lastly in this series, the collection of 20 images. I used to call it the Best of Both Worlds because I offered digital files with it. Currently, I am reworking my model & there are a few products that allow you to get the matching digitals. So, once I figure out the name, you’ll be the first to know. At any rate, here is it! It has a beautiful presentation of a gorgeous eco-friendly, bamboo box with a hook closure. The lid can contain personalized information if so desired.
In addition to the above products, there is a frame upgrade for the wall art pieces. It’s not your normal frame either. It is a float frame that provides a traditional presentation with a modern flair. The print is mounted to an aluminum composite for a more substantial feel, then is mounted in a frame that makes it look like the print is floating within the frame. The frame comes in four styles and varies from two to four colors. I’m sure you could find something to your liking.
Last but not least is the Amalfi panel that is only available in the Styled Sessions. It is crafted in Italy using methods that are hundreds of years old. The Amalfi paper is handmade and the actual image is printed on HD fine art paper, all of which is mounted on a fabric panel that has a wide selection of fabrics and colors. It’s absolutely gorgeous! See for yourself. Just so you know, I really don’t believe that this picture does it justice.
Whelp, that’s about it. I’m really excited about these new products and I hope you are too. Let me know your thoughts. I’d really love to read them!
