Hey….psssst! Do you know that Mother’s Day is just around the corner? Yes, I said Mother’s Day. I know it’s only March but Mother’s Day will be here before you know it. I know it always sneaks up on me. Normally, I take my mom to her favorite restaurant, Lettuce Souprise You but being that we’re in a pandemic, that’s not such a good idea. By the way, I just checked and the one that I used to take her to has closed permanently. It was a really great place to eat. Ahhh well, I guess I have to find something else to give her for Mother’s Day.
Well, it turns out that I do have something to give her…us! Us as in my family. A couple of months ago my husband, son and I finally took our updated family portraits. It was six years in the making but we finally made it happen. They turned out really well, too. I’m not sure if I shared them, but just in case you missed them, here is one image from the session.
It’s always difficult for me to decide what to give my mother for Mother’s Day. She’s gotten to the point where she really doesn’t want a whole lot for Mother’s Day, her birthday or Christmas. That’s why I try to give her experiences, like going out to eat. Being that we are in the era of COVID, I didn’t feel comfortable taking her out to eat so I had to figure out what to give her and I had to start early. It just so happened that I lucked up on a solution. Duh, duh duhhhhhh! An accordion mini! That’s right! One of the products that I offer. It’s the perfect size to sit on a desk, dresser or to carry in a purse.
So, what I did was designed an accordion mini with images from our family session. In fact, I killed three birds with one stone. Since they come in a set of three, I am able to share an accordion mini with my mother-in-law, as well as with my dad and bonus mom. It works out so perfectly! Wouldn’t you love to give something like that to your mom?
With that said, I will be announcing a Mother’s Day special very soon, so keep an eye out for it. If you don’t already follow me on Instagram, you can find me using @phoartgraphy. I’m also on Facebook at PhoArtgraphy and I’m even on Google, as well. If you have questions and want to learn more about me and what I do, go to my website and click Contact Me to set up a complimentary consultation. Don’t worry, you don’t have to book if you don’t want to but of course, I would want you to. LOL. Anyway, just make sure you’re ready for Mother’s Day. I mean, what excuse do you have? You may still be working from home.
