Here we are again! It’s my favorite time of year. The transition from summer to fall is the best, weather wise. Where summer can be too hot for me and fall can be too cool, the transition is perfect. Temperatures in the low to mid eighties are glorious! Not only do I enjoy the weather, but I enjoy the clothing as well. I mean, come on, who doesn’t love boots, leggings and scarves?
Speaking of clothing, now is a good time to talk about it. One of the questions I get often asked is, “What should we wear?” That is an excellent question. The basic answer is based around colors. After that, you just have to add your fashion sense to bring about the look that you are looking for. Don’t worry, I will be happy to help you with that.
Considering that the fall palette is filled with reds, oranges and browns, that’s a good place to start with your wardrobe but not necessarily the rule. I don’t know about you, but Pinterest is a good place to look for some ideas. One thing I love adding to an outfit is a scarf. I absolutely love scarves. They are a good way to add a pop of color, like this.
Other good ideas are to wear statement pieces or colorful jackets or sweaters. Again, pops of color add more interest into your portraits and can provide for a focal point. Wouldn’t you rather have people looking at you and not the fall foliage behind you? Hats are also a great accessory. These ideas are not just for women. Men can wear great looking sweaters and hats, as well. Remember, more than likely your favorite image will be hanging in your home. Do you really want to wear something boring or just not look your best? We want our portraits to be conversation pieces but for the right reasons.

As I stated before, I can definitely help you put together your outfits for you or just your little people. Now that we’ve talked about what to where, all we have to do is schedule your next session.
