Being that the weather is still nice, now is a great time for new photos. Typically, I photograph my clients in their homes but when the weather is nice, the outdoors is a great place to be. Plus, the autumn colors are awesome! So, here are 5 great places for photography in Atlanta.
What a very eclectic and artsy area. I love the painted murals and interesting shops. Even though there are usually large crowds, you can still find places here and there for some creative photos. Below are some images I captured from a senior session and from a session I capture for my book, If God Gave It To Me, It Must Be Good, and from a photo walk I participated in.
A veritable landmark of Atlanta. Who lives here and doesn’t know about the park? There are so many little jewels within the park that make for wonderful photos. The only thing you have to remember is to bring comfortable shoes because it is a really big park.
I discovered this location a few years ago. Unfortunately, I can’t remember why I was there but I do remember meeting up with several women for some type of group photos. Since that time, I had been out there twice to assist two other photographers with their sessions. At one point, I even photographed a family session of my own. Usually, there aren’t too many people there. The long winding walkway is rather nice, along with the giant pond in the middle. There is even a water feature. If you are adventurous in posing, the boulders in one part of the park are great for group or single photos.
This location is basically down the street from me but that’s not why I love it. I love it because of its small-town feel. It has a quaint gazebo, a train caboose, and green areas, as well. There are also all of these great little shops that make up the main thoroughfare for wonderful portraits.
What an excellent location. Betcha didn’t see that coming. There are dozens of locations around Atlanta but your home is still one of the great ones. Where else can you feel at home? I have photographed children and families in their living rooms, offices, dens, backyards, and front yards. Your home could supply multiple options, so don’t count it out.
