The holidays are coming! Now is the time to start preparing for the holidays. Halloween just ended so now we have to get ready for Thanksgiving. I don’t know about you but I’m not one of those people who jump from Halloween directly into Christmas. I feel like that is cheating. Besides, Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday. Why? Because of all of the wonderful food and family!
Mind you, I don’t usually cook for Thanksgiving. Now, my husband and I have hosted Thanksgiving two or three times but that’s a lot of work. Plus, I wouldn’t call us natural entertainers. We have family members and friends who fall in to that category and we are happy to attend their gatherings.
Being transparent, there really aren’t too many holidays that I go all out to celebrate other than Thanksgiving. Out of all of the holidays, it just seems the most genuine. I think of it as time to break bread with your loved ones. That’s enough for me. I’m sure there are people asking, “What about Christmas?” Christmas is fine but I feel that it has gotten so commercialized over the years that the meaning of the day has totally been taken out of it. I still give out gifts to the kids, my husband, parents and best friend but that’s about it.
So, since the holidays are upon us, now is the time to start thinking about what gifts to give. Don’t forget about sending greeting cards. I can help you with both of those! In case you didn’t see a previous post I made about holiday gifts, click here for some ideas. As for the greeting cards, I can create personalized greeting cards using your images from a session and your words! If need be, I can add the words myself. You will have two to three different designs to choose from, as well! Below is a sample of one:
By the way, these cards are flat, double-sided, 5×7 cards and they come with their own envelopes. How convenient is that? But you have to act fast. In order to make sure you have your cards back in time, they must be ordered no later than December 1st. Another great thing about them is that they come in packs of 25 and when you buy one set, you get another set free! How about that? Fifty cards for the price of 25. No code needed. Just order and that’s it.
For my return clients, if you’re feeling lazy, you can always use images from a previous session if you don’t have time for a new one. Well, if the session was a few years ago, I might actually discourage that.
Anyway, I hope this was helpful. I look forward to seeing you all in front of my lens real soon so we can create some beautiful images. I know your children have grown considerably and now is always the best time to capture their growth!
